Mint Mood
These days I was drawing till 4 am. My Muse was so generus that after finishing the big steampunk picture that I'll show you tomorrow, I watercolored a page in moleskine. One part is April bag and another is a charming red-haired for May. When I was making a photo my cat Max sneaked in. So, that's how it usually happens :)

The Corset Atelier
Once in Brussels, I turned onto a narrow side street and came across a charming door in mint color. Curious, but this color is only found in the old European cities and usually something very interesting is behind it.
I thought that it could be a small atelier full of beautiful things in old but charming interior. I also imagined that the owner was a lady of age still beautiful and charming like a true Parisienne.
So, I was fascinated and intrigued. I could not but enter and found myself in a small, cozy and stylish hat studio which seemed to have been existing for more than 200 years. Those hats made of proper Belgian straw were probably to be seen at royal weddings and horse races. The owner of the shop happened to be an elderly but graceful lady with surprisingly Parisian look. I was almost knocked down by the fact that my fantasies were turning to reality so quickly and straightforwardly.
So I gave up and tried almost every hat in that magic atelier looking at myself in the aged mirror and feeling like a princess on 'Roman Holidays'. I left the studio with a single huge hatbox of octagonal shape in the original mint stripes feeling as happy as I could.
I remembered this story and this color when I was asked to draw an elegant sexy lady as a commissioned illustration for a corset studio. The customer also fell in love with the story and the color which made me twice happy.
